Discussion forums are arguably an important part of the online course. They’re a platform where students can process the content, interact with each other, and form collaborative communities that are key to successful online learning. Beyond providing the space for discussions, instructors must craft prompts, activities, and/or formats that are purposeful, interactive, and provide meaningful learning experiences. In this session, we will discuss tips and strategies that you can use to promote student learning and engagement in the discussion forums.
