Advanced Zoom Techniques
This training session will expand on a basic understanding of Zoom meeting hosting, providing a deeper dive into features you can use to enhance the in-meeting experience. We will explore options for . . . interacting with participants, including Breakout Rooms and Polls. In addition, we will discuss strategies like pinning and spotlighting video, so that everyone in the meeting has an ideal view of who is speaking or sharing content. After this session, you can use these features to take your Zoom meetings to the next level.

Discussion forums are arguably an important part of the online course. They’re a platform where students can process the content, interact with each other, and form collaborative communities that are . . . key to successful online learning. Beyond providing the space for discussions, instructors must craft prompts, activities, and/or formats that are purposeful, interactive, and provide meaningful learning experiences. In this session, we will discuss tips and strategies that you can use to promote student learning and engagement in the discussion forums.

Kaltura Paths is a interactive video editor that connects to our learning management system and video cloud service. Videos can be added to the editor where a user can add hotspots that link to . . . different videos or external links and other functions. Genial.ly can create hotspots in photos, 360 images and videos to created interactive presentations. Engage your students with presentations, class resources and more with interactions that let the student take the lead in their learning.
This session will explore the kinds of projects that can be developed using this digital tool and others like it, the roles of team members in producing faculty projects, the functions inside the editors and postproduction steps for users.
