Title: AI for Inclusive Online Teaching Series: Zoom AI Companion
Date: 10/21/2025 12:00 PM
Presenters: Christelle Daceus
Session Description
This 4-part workshop series will boost engagement and accessibility in your online courses. We will explore practical AI tools from the JHU Hopkins AI Lab focusing on applying them directly to your courses. In each session participants learn and practice with a new tool, get feedback, and build confidence in creating inclusive AI learning experiences. Facilitators will cover Zoom AI Companion, GPT Codex, eLearning Expert GPT, M365 Copilot. These tools promote accessibility through features like automated captions, text-speech, and personalized learning paths. The group will work together to explore these features and others to develop strategies specifically involving increasing interactivity in synchronous sessions, developing course design plans, reviewing and developing code and making creating course documents less overwhelming. Participants will also receive a workbook to follow along with the workshop practice activities and develop an individual implementation plan with support from peers and instructional design staff.
This event will take place on Zoom.
