When you design, develop, and teach an online course, how do you know it’s “high quality”? If someone asked you what a quality online course is, how would you define quality? In mid-2020, the Center for Learning Design (CLD) staff began to ask ourselves these questions. Primarily we wanted to know how to define “quality” for evaluation of online courses. In this webinar, we introduce Quality Matters™, the online course design quality standards we have adopted in our quest to further define quality. Additionally, we share other specific quality standards we developed. Participants will gain a broad understanding of how the quality benchmarks are being implemented and considerations for evaluating the quality of their own course.
