Would you like to contribute to the teaching and learning landscape beyond JHU? The Faculty Forward Academy at WSE is excited to announce the new Faculty Forward Advancement Award!
The Faculty Forward Advancement Award is a program designed to support the professional growth and development of faculty members interested in the advancement of teaching and learning.
The award’s purpose is to provide financial support for faculty members to attend and present at national conferences focused on higher education and/or teaching and learning. This award will help faculty stay current with the latest trends and best practices on teaching and learning in higher education, which in turn benefits students and the Whiting School of Engineering.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Current WSE or EP faculty member
- Dedication to the advancement of teaching and learning
- Must submit a proposal and be accepted to present at identified educational conference
- Agree to share presentation and conference experiences with the Faculty Forward community
Application Process
- Complete registration of intention to submit a proposal
- Proposal writing assistance is available upon request
Review Process
Selection will be based upon successful proposal submission and acceptance
Award Inclusions
- Flat-rate stipend to cover conference registration, travel, lodging, and meals.
- Highlighted article in Faculty Forward Magazine
- Featured on the Faculty Forward Academy website (and possibly CLDT/EP websites)
- Recognition at the EP fall faculty meeting
Timing & Availability
- Applications and awards will occur on a rolling basis
- Up to four awards will be available per year based on funding
