SYNCHRONOUS SESSION PART 1

May 20, 2023, 9-4 PM ET

Part 1 of the synchronous session starts off with an energetic kick-off. We will jump right into the work that we began in the online modules to further design and develop a plan for our courses. A part of the program is actually engaging in the activities that are best for our students. To practice what we preach – we won’t be preaching at you! You will be active participants using these strategies to accomplish learning with your peers.

This is a synchronous live session hosted both onsite and online.

SYNCHRONOUS SESSION PART 2

June 10, 2023, 9-4 PM ET

Part 2 of the synchronous session consists of intensive workshopping with your colleagues. You will work together to create a plan to incorporate active learning and digital technologies into your teaching – whether that is online, in a classroom, or a combination. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with the multimedia staff to create an introductory video for your online course site.

This is a synchronous live session hosted both onsite and online.

CAPSTONE PROJECT

The Faculty Forward program includes a final capstone project that incorporates research-based teaching strategies and digital technologies. All capstone projects will vary from individual to individual and program to program. After completion of the capstone project, the participants become “Faculty Forward Fellows”. The fellows will be integral in future programs.
